Start with linear feet
Cabinet pricing is usually discussed per linear foot: the length of the cabinet runs along your walls, plus the island. Measure each wall that will have cabinets and add them up. A modest kitchen might have 20–25 linear feet; a large kitchen with an island can run 40 or more.
Typical ranges by collection
For the cabinets themselves, our three collections typically fall in these ranges. Core (factory) costs about $400–$700 per linear foot. Flex (semi custom) costs about $700–$1,000 per linear foot. Peak (custom) costs about $900–$1,400+ per linear foot.
So a 25-foot kitchen might land roughly between $10,000 and $17,500 in Core, $17,500 and $25,000 in Flex, or $22,500 and $35,000+ in Peak, before countertops and other trades. Treat those as planning numbers, not a quote.
What pushes the price up or down
Two kitchens with the same footage can price very differently. The biggest drivers are:
- Drawers vs. doors: drawer bases cost more than door bases but are easier to use
- Cabinet height: ceiling-height uppers and stacked cabinets add material
- Organizers: pull-outs, trash pull-outs, spice racks and corner solutions
- Finish: paint, stain, glaze and specialty colors
- Door style: inset and detailed profiles cost more than slab or shaker
- Specialty pieces: wood range hoods, glass doors, open shelving, panels on appliances
What's not in the cabinet price
Countertops, backsplash, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances are separate. When you compare quotes, make sure each one includes the same things: installation, crown and trim, filler panels, hardware and removal of the old cabinets.
Getting an accurate number
The fastest way to a real price is to have the room measured. Our in-home consultation, 3D design and itemized estimate are free, and we're happy to price more than one collection so you can compare. Most people end up somewhere between two options, and seeing both in 3D makes the choice easy.
